فيينا – قالت وكالة الطاقة الدولية إن التطور التكنولوجي وتراجع تكاليف استخراج النفط الصخري، قد أسهما في نمو إنتاج النفط في الولايات المتحدة خلال الأشهر الماضية.
وأوضح مدير الوكالة فاتح بيرول، أن انخفاض أسعار الخام قد فرض قيوداً خلال السنوات الماضية على توسع استخراج النفط الصخري لاسيما مع التوجه للاعتماد على المصادر المتجددة للطاقة (مثل الهواء والطاقة الشمسية وغيرهما). وأضاف بيرول أن انتعاش إنتاج النفط الصخري الأميركي مؤخراً قد تسبب في اضطرابات بالسوق، مؤكداً على أن شركات إنتاج الخام الصخري بات يمكنها الصمود في مواجهة ضعف الأسعار، على عكس ما حصل قبل سنوات.
وأشار مدير وكالة الطاقة الدولية إلى أن إنتاج النفط الصخري الأميركي بواسطة تكنولوجيا التصديع الهيدروليكي (فراكينغ)، يمكنه مواصلة النمو بسبب توفير التكاليف والتحسن التقني الهائل في هذه الصناعة حيث هبطت تكلفة إنتاج برميل الخام الصخري في أميركا من 70 دولاراً عام 2012 إلى حوالي 40 دولاراً في 2016.
ويبلغ حالياً سعر البرميل من خام القياس العالمي، مزيج برنت، حوالي ٥٠ دولاراً.
وتعتبر ولايتا تكساس ونورث داكوتا من أكثر الولايات الأميركية انتاجاً للنفط الصخري.
وبدأ أنبوب «وصلة داكوتا» لنقل النفط العمل الخميس الماضي، بعد انتهاء مظاهرات طالبت بوقف إنشائه في شباط (فبراير) الماضي. وسينقل خط الأنابيب الجديد الذي بلغت كلفة إنشائه 3.8 مليارات دولار ويبلغ طوله 1900 كلم، نفط نورث داكوتا إلى خزانات توزيع في إلينوي عبر ساوث داكوتا وآيوا.
