ديترويت - أعلنت وزارة المواصلات في ميشيغن الأسبوع الماضي عن مشروع ضخم بقيمة 165 مليون دولار، لترميم وتجديد مسافة ثمانية أميال من الطريق السريع «75» الذي يربط ديترويت بمدن جنوبي نهر الروج (داونريفر).
ومن المتوقع أن ينطلق العمل بالمشروع، الذي يتضمن أيضاً ترميم 14 جسراً على طول الطريق في جنوب مقاطعة وين، خلال وقت مبكر من العام القادم، على أن يتم استكماله في غضون سنتين مع إقفال تام للاتجاه الجنوبي من الطريق «75» (بين سبرينغولز في ديترويت ونورث لاين في ساوثغيت) مما سيحتم على السائقين إيجاد سبل بديلة.
ومن بين الجسور التي ستتم إعادة تأهيلها، الجسر العملاق الذي يحمل الطريق السريع «75» فوق نهر الروج، وهو أكبر جسر في ولاية ميشيغن، وقد تم وصف وضعه بالحرج بعد رصد تساقط كتل اسمنتية منه في الآونة الأخيرة فيما لا تزال أعمدته في حالة ممتازة بحسب التقييم الهندسي.
وكان جسر نهر الروج، وهو بطول 1.63 ميل، قد شيّد في ديترويت عام 1967 ويستخدمه 37 مليون سائق سنوياً، 15 بالمئة منهم يقودون شاحنات. وتبين للوزارة أن استبداله كلياً سيكلف بين 271 و315 مليون دولار، وقد ترتفع الكلفة الى 400 مليون دولار.
وسوف تتأثر بالمشروع إضافة الى منطقة جنوب غربي ديترويت العديد من مدن جنوبي نهر الروج (داونريفر) وهي ملفينديل ولينكولن بارك وألن بارك وساوثغيت وبلدة براونزتاون.
وتتولى شركة «سي أي هال»، ومقرها مدينة وولد ليك، المشروع برمته ومن ضمنه تأهيل جسر الروج ليخدم فترة خمسين سنة، وقد أكد المهندس المسؤول بيل إربين، إن قرار إغلاق الاتجاه الجنوبي من الطريق «75» جاء للتقليل من الفترة الزمنية المطلوبة لإنجاز أعمال البناء من أربع سنوات الى سنتين فقط، على أن يتم توجيه مسار الشاحنات المتوجهة جنوباً الى الطريق السريع «96» غرباً، ومن ثم الطريق السريع «275» جنوباً، وصولاً الى الطريق «75» جنوباً مرة أخرى.
ويشار الى أن الطريق «75» يشهد أيضاً مشروعاً ضخماً لتوسعته وترميمه الى الشمال من مدينة ديترويت التي تعتبر عقدة مواصلات رئيسية في أميركا الشمالية حيث تقع على الحدود مع كندا وتخترقها ثلاث طرق عابرة للولايات، هي «75» و«94» و«96» إضافة الى طرق سريعة أخرى.
