لانسنغ - أقر مجلس نواب ولاية ميشيغن الأربعاء الماضي بفارق ضئيل (٥٦ مقابل ٥٣ نائباً)، مشروع قانون من شأنه رفع السرعة القصوى على طرقات الولاية الى ٧٥ ميلاً بالساعة عوضاً عن ٧٠ ميلاً المعمول بها حالياً. وكان المقترح قد لقي معارضة من المشرعين حيث كانت صيغته الأولية تدعو الى رفع السرعة القصوى الى ٨٠ ميلاً بالساعة، وهو ما عاد وتراجع عنه النائب صاحب المشروع براد جاكسون (جمهوري عن أوكسفورد) الذي أقر بأن طرقات الولاية غير معدة لهذه السرعة.
مشروع القانون لا يزال بحاجة الى موافقة مجلس الشيوخ وتوقيع الحاكم.
