لانسنغ – أظهرت البيانات الرسمية الصادرة عن حكومة ميشيغن، انخفاض مستوى البطالة في الولاية إلى ٥.١ بالمئة خلال شهر آذار (مارس) الماضي، مقارنة بمعدل ٤.٥ بالمئة على المستوى الوطني.
وقالت وزارة التكنولوجيا والإدارة والميزانية في بيان أصدرته الأربعاء الماضي إن معدل البطالة في ميشيغن تراجع بنسبة ٠.٢ بالمئة مقارنة بشهر شباط (فبراير) المنصرم الذي سجل ٥.٣ بالمئة، في حين أن المعدل المسجل في آذار (مارس) ٢٠١٦، كان عند ٤.٩ بالمئة.
وأرجع بيان الوزارة ارتفاع نسبة البطالة مقارنة بالشهر نفسه من العام الماضي إلى الزيادة الملحوظة في أعداد المنضمين إلى سوق العمل، حيث ازدادت القوى العاملة في الولاية خلال الشهر الماضي بحوالي ستة آلاف شخص، وقد أضاف اقتصاد ميشيغن ١٧ ألف وظيفة جديدة، ليتراجع عدد الباحثين عن عمل في الولاية بحوالي ١١ ألفاً.
والجدير بالذكر أن مؤشر البطالة في ميشيغن والولايات المتحدة عموماً، يقتصر على قياس نسبة الأشخاص العاطلين عن العمل ممن يبحثون عن وظائف فقط. ومنذ أواسط العام ٢٠١٥، يتراوح معدل البطالة في ميشيغن حول حاجز ٥ بالمئة، في حين تسجل الولاية ارتفاعاً شهرياً بأعداد الوظائف الجديدة منذ عدة سنوات.
