هونغ كونغ – بعد إعلانها مؤخراً عن خطة لإنشاء مصنع عملاق لها في ولاية ويسكونسون الأميركية، كشفت صحيفة «ساوث تشاينا مورنينغ بوست» أن شركة «فوكسكون» العالمية تخطط لخطوة مماثلة في ولاية ميشيغن، وذلك بالتزامن مع زيارة الحاكم ريك سنايدر للصين الأسبوع الماضي.
والتقى سنايدر خلال رحلته التجارية برئيس الشركة التي تعد أكبر مصنع للمكونات الإلكترونية في العالم، تيري غوي، كما زار مقرها الرئيسي في مدينة شينجن بجنوب الصين، ولكن إدارته لم تؤكد المعلومات التي أوردتها الصحيفة الناطقة بالإنكليزية، ومقرها هونغ كونغ.
وعاد سنايدر إلى ميشيغن يوم الثلاثاء الماضي بعد زيارة استمرت تسعة أيام، أعقبت توقيعه قانون جديد لتشجيع الاستثمار في الولاية عبر تقديم إعفاءات ضريبية سخية للشركات التي تقوم بتوفير وظائف جديدة في الولاية. وقالت الناطقة باسم الحاكم آنا هيتون، لصحيفة «ديترويت نيوز» إن سنايدر التقى مؤسس الشركة العالمية ورئيسها، و«كانت الزيارة عظيمة والحوار كان مثمراً جداً، ولكن ليس هناك شيء رسمي للإعلان عنه في هذا الوقت».
غير أن صحيفة «مورنينغ بوست» كانت قد نقلت عن مؤسس «فوكسكون» تيري غوي، قوله إن الشركة بصدد الإعلان عن افتتاح مصنع جديد لها في الولايات المتحدة سيتخصص بأبحاث تطوير وإنتاج مكونات السيارات ذاتية القيادة، دون أن يكشف عن حجم الاستثمار المزمع في ميشيغن.
وكانت «فوكسكون» قد أعلنت في تموز (يوليو) الماضي، عن خطة لإنشاء مصنع لإنتاج الشاشات الإلكترونية في ولاية ويسكونسون بقيمة ١٠ مليارات دولار، في استثمار هو الأضخم في تاريخ الولاية، حيث من المتوقع أن يوفر ما بين ١٠ إلى ١٣ ألف وظيفة جديدة. غير أن مجلس الشيوخ في ويسكونسون لا يزال متردداً في إقرار الإعفاءات الضريبية للمصنع لكونها تحرم خزينة الولاية من أية مداخيل ضريبية لمدة ٢٥ سنة، ما قد يهدد فرص إقامة المصنع المدعوم من قبل الرئيس دونالد ترامب.
وتعتبر شركة «فوكسكون»، ومقرها تايبه (تايوان)، أكبر متعاقد لانتاج الأجهزة الإلكترونية في العالم، كما أنها أكبر صانع للوظائف في القطاع الخاص بالصين، حيث لديها ١.٣ مليون موظف، ومن أبرز منتجاتها: «آي فون»، «آي باد»، «بلاي ستيشن»، «وي»، «وي يو»، «أكس بوكس» وغيرها.
