واشنطن – أظهر استطلاع للرأي نشر الاثنين الماضي في الولايات المتحدة ان نحو ثلاثين بالمئة من الاميركيين يعتبرون الدولة “تهديدا كبيرا” لحريتهم. فمن اصل 2500 شخص شملهم الاستطلاع الذي اجراه مركز “بيو” للأبحاث، رأى ثلاثون بالمئة ان الحكومة بمثابة “تهديد كبير”، مقابل 18 بالمئة ادلوا بالراي نفسه في استطلاع مماثل اجري العام 2003.
وابدى 19 بالمئة فقط “رضاهم العام” عن الحكومة، في حين قال 56 بالمئة انهم “محبطون” واكد 21 في المئة انهم “غاضبون” على الحكومة. والعام 1958، قام مركز “بيو” للمرة الاولى بتقدير مستوى “ثقة” الاميركيين بحكومتهم وكانت النتيجة ان 73 بالمئة منهم اعربوا عن هذه الثقة.
وبلغت هذه النسبة ادنى مستوى لها في منتصف العام 1994، ابان ولاية الرئيس الاسبق بيل كلينتون، اذ لم تتجاوز 17 بالمئة من المواطنين الاميركيين. وعلق رئيس المركز اندري كوهوت في بيان ان “الرغبة في دولة اقل هي امر مؤكد خصوصا منذ وصول باراك اوباما”.
ولاحظ كوهوت ان الانكماش الاقتصادي والانطباع السيء الذي كونه الاميركيون عن الكونغرس والانقسام الحد في صفوف الناخبين، ولاسيما بعد اقرار مشروع التامين الصحي، “وفرت كل الشروط الضرورية لعاصفة” تحاسب عليها الحكومة. وفي هذا السياق، يبدي 65 بالمئة من الاميركيين استياءهم من الكونغرس، وهي نسبة قياسية منذ 25 عاما.
واكد الاستطلاع ان “الخصومة بين الرأي العام والحكومة ستصب في مصلحة الجمهوريين خلال انتخابات تشرين الثاني”. واذا كان 58 بالمئة من الاميركيين يرون ان الحكومة ذهبت بعيدا جدا في السيطرة على الاقتصاد، فان 61 بالمئة منهم يطالبون باجراءات اكثر تشددا حيال القطاع المصرفي، الامر الذي وعد اوباما بتحقيقه
