لانسنغ – كشفت دراسة حديثة أن 95 بالمئة من الناس يغسلون أيديهم بشكل غير صحيح، علما أن غسل الأيدي أمر روتيني يُمارس أكثر من مرة في اليوم.
وقد أجرى فريق علماء من «جامعة ميشيغن ستايت» هذه الدراسة من خلال رصد كيفية غسل الأيدي في الحمامات العامة، لتخلص الدراسة إلى أن 5 بالمئة فقط يغسلون أيديهم طويلاً وبعناية للتخلص من الميكروبات والبكتيريا العالقة التي تتسبب بإنتشار أمراض معدية.
ويقلل غسل الأيدي بطريقة صحيحة من فرص الإصابة بالزكام، كما أنه وقاية ضد الأمراض المتعلقة بتناول الطعام.
ويلفت العلماء المشرفون على الدراسة الإنتباه إلى أن الطريقة الصحية لغسل الأيدي هي وضع راحتيّ اليدين تحت الماء الساخن أو البارد، ومن ثم وضع الصابون على اليدين وتدليكهما بشكل جيد، بما في ذلك بين الأصابع، على أن توضع اليدان تحت الماء المتدفق لـمدة 20 ثانية على الأقل، وتجفيفهما بمنشفة نظيفة.
وقام بهذه الدراسة العملية 12 من موظفي الجامعة راقبوا عن كثب 3700 شخص أثناء غسل أيديهم في حمام الجامعة.
