واشنطن – تراجع العجز التجاري في الولايات المتحدة أكثر من المتوقع بقليل في أيار (مايو) مع ارتفاع الصادرات لمستوى قياسي وهو ما يشير إلى أن ضغوط التجارة على النمو في الربع الثاني قد تكون أقل مما كان يخشى في السابق.
وقالت وزارة التجارة يوم الخميس إن العجز التجاري انخفض 5.6 بالمئة إلى 44.4 مليار دولار. وعدل العجز التجاري لشهر نيسان (ابريل) بخفض طفيف إلى 47 مليار دولار.
وكان اقتصاديون توقعوا في مسح أجرته (رويترز) انخفاض العجز إلى 45 مليار دولار في ايار(مايو) من قراءة أولية لشهر أيار بعجز قدره 47.2 مليار دولار.
وبعد التعديل يؤخذ التضخم في الاعتبار فيكون العجز قد تقلص إلى 51.96 مليار دولار من 53.88 مليار دولار في نيسان(ابريل).
